Postcards and bi-fold mailers at Postalytics are always priced to print duplex or double-sided. However, when it comes to printing letters, you have a range of printing options to choose from.
Letter Formats Offered
Domestic Mailings (United States)
For U.S. mailings, Postalytics offers two letter sizes with the following formats:
8.5x11 Letter: Available in Letter Simplex (single-sided), Letter (duplex, double-sided), or multi-page formats
8.5x14 Letter: Available in Letter Simplex (single-sided), Letter (duplex, double-sided), or multi-page formats.This format can also include a perforation on the first page only
International Mailings (Canada)
For Canadian mailings, the available letter format is:
8.5x11 Letter: Available in Letter Simplex (single-sided), Letter (duplex, double-sided), or multi-page formats
Printing Options Offered

Letter Simplex: Printing on one side of the paper
Extra Page is not available with this format
Letter: Supports double-sided, duplex printing
Extra Page: Printing on more than one sheet of paper (page), up to six pages total
Letter Simplex is not available with this format
8.5x14 Letters (U.S. only)
Letter Simplex: Printing on one side of the paper, with or without a perforation
Extra page is not available with this format
Letter: Supports double-sided, duplex printing, with or without a perforation (perforation is on the first page only)
Extra Page: Printing on more than one sheet of paper (page), up to six pages total
Perforation is only available on the first page
Letter Simplex is not available with this format
Extra Pages (U.S. and Canada)
Extra Page: Required for multi-page printing

How Postalytics Calculates Costs
During the design and proofing process in the Postalytics Direct Mail Template Editor, the system will identify the format you’re using. If you add pages and want duplex printing, be sure to check “Double Sided” under the Settings tab. For more information on designing letters, refer to our help articles:

Then, when the proofed template is used in a campaign, the campaign wizard will calculate costs based on your account plan and the final proofed design:
One-sided, single-page letter: Charged as a “Simplex Letter”
Double-side, single page letter: Charged as a “Letter” (Duplex printing).
Additional pages: Charged as “Extra Page” based on the number of pages in the proofed template. *Not available with Simplex Letter.

Requires First-class or Standard Simplex Letter credits
Extra Page cannot be used with this format
Letter (double sided, duplex printing)
Requires First-class or Standard Letter Credit to support duplex printing
